Friday, 3 July 2020

On 30 June 2020, Toronto City Council voted to make wearing non-medical masks or face coverings mandatory in indoor spaces. This by-law will come into effect on Tuesday 7 July 2020. Anyone entering your business (both customers and staff) will have to wear a mask or face covering or be refused entry.

Please join us tomorrow, Friday 3 July at 2pm, for a free webinar to learn more about the by-law, what it means for your business, how to comply, enforcement, and how you can help keep everyone in Toronto safer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Register here:

This webinar will be delivered by Dr. Vinita Dubey, an Associate Medical Officer of Health with Toronto Public Health, with support from the Economic Development and Culture Division.

This webinar is intended to convey municipal government requirements at time of writing on wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. These requirements may change as the situation changes; please visit https://www.toronto.ca/COVID19/ for the latest information.

If time allows, we will answer live questions during this webinar. If you have a question, please post it in the question or chat box; we will not take voice questions due to the high levels of background noise from unmuting attendees' microphones. For complex questions or questions that we don't have time for, we will answer them collectively by e-mail after the webinar.

As well, please visit our COVID-19: Business & Sector Resources for more information about programs to help your business.  Also, the City’s  BusinessTO Support Centre is available to help businesses respond to COVID-19 with a focus on completing applications for government assistance programs and providing business advice. Get started by scheduling a  one-on-one meeting or register for an introductory webinar .

Thank you.
