- 1 teaspoon of baking soda

- 1/3 cup of olive oil or cooking oil

- 1 cup of water

Directions:

Combine the baking soda, olive oil, and water in a spray bottle. Secure the lid and shake the bottle thoroughly to mix the ingredients.

This homemade spray is effective against pests like aphids, spider mites, and whiteflies, but it is gentle on beneficial insects. It's suitable for use on a wide range of vegetables and flowers.

Additional Baking Soda Pest Control Tips:

- Rabbit Deterrent: Lightly sprinkle baking soda around your flower beds occasionally. This can help keep rabbits away from nibbling on your plants.

- Ant Removal: For outdoor ant problems, sprinkle baking soda directly onto damp ant mounds. Wait about 30 minutes, then pour a small amount of vinegar over the mound. The reaction between the baking soda and vinegar is lethal to ants due to their inability to process the combination.

- Slug Control: To combat slugs in your garden, sprinkle baking soda directly on the plants affected. The baking soda will dehydrate and kill the slugs quickly.
