Local Dealership Commits to Keeping Kids Safe in Etobicoke

Children are our most precious cargo, but when parents don’t know proper car seat safety procedures, they put their children’s lives at risk on the roads.  Chevrolet is dedicated to keeping kids safe and that’s why Courtesy Chevrolet has made a commitment to families in Etobicoke to help keep their children safe with the Safe and Sure Child Car Seat Installation Workshop Program.
Chevrolet is working with Parachute, a Canadian charity dedicated to preventing injuries and saving lives, to roll out the new Chevrolet Safe and Sure program to help educate parents and caregivers with hands-on instructions on car seat safety. The program offers free one-on-one workshops with a certified car seat technician who will teach families and caregivers how to use and install car seats in any vehicle so children are safe for every ride no matter the make or model of their vehicle.
Appointment registration is available in advance of this workshop at www.safeandsure.ca.

WHAT:            Interviews with certified car seat technicians,

GET YOUR FEET PRETTY FOR SUMMER WITH THIS EASY SCRUB

Skin Care Chronicle: GET YOUR FEET PRETTY FOR SUMMER WITH THIS EASY SCR...:

For a beautifying foot scrub designed to get your feet looking their Summertime best – all you need is two ingredients – coffee grinds and almond milk.
Simply save the left over coffee grinds from your morning brew and combine them with 2 cups of Almond milk. Mix well and use the mixture to scrub your feet using a circular motion for about two minutes.
The Almond milk is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E - it protects skin from free radicals that damage cells and break down collagen.
The coffee grinds buff away dead skin cells to reveal radiant skin. The caffeine and other antioxidants in the coffee work to tighten and energize skin while also promoting circulation.

Don’t forget your hands, elbows, and other rough spots. You will love the results!

In the past 15 years, community arts has exploded through creative projects with diverse communities across the GTA. Deborah Barndt, professor of Environmental Studies and founder of the Community Arts Practice (CAP) certificate at York University, has documented a wide range of projects in arts and social justice organizations. These creative initiatives democratize the arts and engage communities through participatory processes in performance, music and spoken word, visual arts and more, while addressing issues such community food security, racialized gun violence, migrant labour, Indigenous history, cuts to social services, and revitalization. This retrospective reflects part of Barndt’s legacy as she retires from full-time employment at York.
