KALE FOR BRAIN HEALTH?

Did you know that kale is one of the very few vegetables that contain a decent amount of Omega 3 ALA (alpha-linolenic acid)?
ALA is linked to numerous health benefits like lowering the risk of depression and diabetes. High blood sugar in diabetics can cause rapid damage to brain cells. Deficiency in Omega 3 is also bad news for people suffering from depression.
Kale contains a high amount of protein for a leafy green. On top of that it also has folate and vitamin B6; these are all necessary nutrients to keep brain cells in tip-top condition.
Other health benefits of KALE:
- High amount of absorbable calcium for bone health.
- High antioxidants that reduce oxidation of cholesterol.
- The chlorophyll molecules are closest to the molecules of human's hemoglobin, making it a great food for people who are anemic.
- Contains high concentration of carotenoids that are necessary for eye health.
- And many more!
