"Ripe black plum and cassis fills out the nose and this black fruited power is there on the palate. Ripe feeling tannins give a mid suppleness lovely and fleshy. The ripe cassis is backed by firmer black cherry with towards the back coffee and spice giving an added complexity. The finish is sweet fruited and quite rich."

There is good reason everyone is after Petite Chateau Bordeaux. Much like Grower Champagne, the budget is spent on the wine and not on marketing....

It certainly appears as though winter has come a little bit early this year. For those of us up early Saturday morning in Southern Ontario, it was hard not to notice those little white flakes coming down from the sky.

This is not all bad news. There are many of us that do love being outside in winter, and then there are the benefits of coming in from the cold and having a nice hearty glass of red wine by the fire. Meals tend to be more generous demanding a more robust wine to match up to them. The Chateau Grand Terrier is hearty while maintaining the finesse we expect when drinking wines from Bordeaux.
